Blue Ribbon CyclingCRCA/Blue Ribbon Restaurants presented by Translations.com is an elite amateur
bike racing team based in New York City. Comprising fifteen men in categories 1-4,
the squad competes in national, regional and local races up and down the Eastern
seaboard. Team Managers: Marc Mauceri and Thomas Pennell.
National Multiple Sclerosis SocietyLed by Chef's Eric and Bruce Bromberg, both avid bicyclists since childhood, the Blue Ribbon/Naked Nuggets Charity Bike Team has recently focused on MS Bike Rides and outdid itself in the 2010 National MS Society Bike NYC charity ride. Blue Ribbon assembled a team of more than 200 staff, family and friends, and provided over 150 bicycles to staff who did not have bikes to ride in the event which they could then keep as their own. The Blue Ribbon/Naked Nuggets Bike Team's fundraising in 2010 was remarkable ranking them as the #1 Friends and Family Team and the #5 Fundraising Team overall.
Blue SchoolIn Spring 2011, Blue Ribbon was proud to sponsor the Blue Man Group 20th
Anniversary Reunion Show to benefit The Blue School. A unique program with
grades kindergarten through fifth grade, the Blue School's mission is to create an educational environment where creativity is truly cherished. Lead by a team of inspired teachers, the Blue School is an innovative approach to education, drawing on many unique sources to teach its students.
Ubuntu Education FundBlue Ribbon Restaurants is a proud supporter of Ubuntu Education Fund. Ubuntu is a nonprofit community-based organization that works with the people of Eastern Cape Province South Africa to develop educational and health initiatives. Ubuntu Education Fund is dedicated to using sustainable development projects that truly empower the community.
Race Across AmericaCreated in 1982, the Race Across America (RAAM) is now the longest running ultradistance
bicycle endurance competition in the world. This is not a stage race like the
Tour de France, where each day a set distance is covered. In RAAM the gun fires
somewhere on the West Coast (Oceanside, CA in 2006) and the finishing line is over
3000 miles away, on the other side of the continent. Blue Ribbon Restaurants is
proud to sponsor Rob Morlock in the Race Across America.
Alpine Learning GroupIn June 2009, Blue Ribbon Restaurants/Naked Nuggets was proud to
sponsor and participate in the Alpine Learning Group's Golf Outing and
Tennis Tournament. In May 2010, Blue Ribbon Restaurants/Naked
Nuggets supported and road in their "Go the Distance for Autism" ride
in Alpine, NJ. The Alpine Learning Group is a non-profit, education and
treatment program specializing in autism management in the North West
New Jersey area.
